The two dancers listed below makeup the Pre-Professional Wing of the Rochester Dance Company.  They are paid a salary and receive a shoe allowance.  They are beautiful dancers and have worked extremely hard to achieve this honor.  We applaud them!

Natasha Holm
This is Ms. Holm’s fourth season dancing with RDC, and she has performed the roles of Snowflake, Chocolate, Mirliton and Dew Drop Fairy in RDC’s The Nutcracker.  In the 2006 production, she whirled onto the stage as the Lead Chocolate dancer and as a Flower.  A junior at Zumbrota-Mazeppa High School, she has been dancing for 11 years, training primarily in ballet and jazz.  She was also featured in RDC’s 2006 production of TeenAge WasteLand.  After high school, she plans to attend college out of state to study pharmacy.

Ms. Sciallis has been dancing ballet, tap and jazz for 13 years.  She joined RDC in 2003 and has danced with the company ever since.  She was excited to perform in The Nutcracker as Lead Mirliton for the first time in 2006 and to return as a Flower.  She previously danced in RDC’s The Nutcracker as a Snowflake and Lead Russian, and also appeared in RDC’s 2006 world premiere of TeenAge WasteLand.  She is very happy to be a junior at Lourdes High School.  Ms. Sciallis thanks her family and friends for their care and support, and also thanks Ellen Huston for this wonderful opportunity.
