Rochester Dance Company is a non-profit, pre-professional dance company that greatly expands the opportunity to see and enjoy professional-quality dance productions in the Rochester area.  Incorporated in 2006 as a non-profit, Rochester Dance Company has brought more than 25 professional guest artists to Rochester to instruct and perform with the 160 dancers who have been part of the company since it began.  More than 10,000 audience members have enjoyed the artistic excellence that Rochester Dance Company consistently delivers.

We would like to invite you to become part of the Rochester Dance Company experience.  We are thrilled to present unique contribution and sponsorship opportunities that help us continue to provide professional-quality productions for the enjoyment of community members of all ages.  Please help us educate the public and preserve and advance the Art of Dance.

Thank you for supporting the Arts and Rochester Dance Company!

Rochester Dance Company’s productions include:

The Nutcracker

This holiday confection has it all: lavish costumes and sets, timeless music and superb dancing by Rochester Dance Company members and professional guest artists.  Each public performance is followed by a delightful Land of Sweets Party, where theatergoers enjoy holiday treats and mingle with Nutcracker characters, including Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy.  A holiday classic for all ages!

TeenAge WasteLand

This original Rochester Dance Company production looks at teens and their world.  Through contemporary music and choreography – plus the voices of real Rochester-area teens – TAWL explores teens’ thoughts and feelings about school, friends, parents, and the society they will soon enter as adults.  This “seriously entertaining” production speaks directly to teens and the adults who love them.

The Door to Imagination

Another original Rochester Dance Company production features award-winning storyteller and musician Odds Bodkin – the New York Times called him “a consummate storyteller.”  Odds uses many different character voices to tell his popular stories, which are intertwined with Rochester Dance Company’s engaging choreography.  Terrific family entertainment full of kindness, humor and gentle life lessons!
